Ristorante Il Solitario

Stopped by here during our recent trip and am so glad we did! It’s a little tucked away so make sure you look out for the sign on the street. It’s a cute garden setting. The food was amazing. Absolutely recommend getting the lemon pasta. Others got seafood and also said it was so fresh and delicious.

We always look forward to dining at Il Solitario in Anacapri with friends. This charming restaurant captures the essence of the island with its delightful ambiance and top-quality dishes. The homemade pasta and fresh seafood are simply divine, and the flavors are incredible. The garden setting provides a perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure we have an exceptional experience every time. If you're in Anacapri, Il Solitario is a must-visit for a taste of the island's best cuisine.

Staying in Anacapri and walked from the hotel to the restaurant. The size is very deceiving as the entrance goes to the back and the restaurant opens to several outdoor dining areas.The food was excellent. The starter was zucchini flowers as a starter, excellent.Main dish was spaghetti alla carbonara, this dish was amazing. Perfectly cooked. Excellent.Dolce was tiramisu. This was also excellent.

This restaurant has been the highlight of our week in Anacapri. Our big group chose to have dinner here not one but two times, and in both occasions they had been able to accommodate us with little notice. The inner garden is really beautiful and each plate is custom painted. Food is prepared on demand and is really delicious. Top picks for main course are scialatielli alla pescatora and fettuccine with rabbit, and the pistachio cake deserves a mention too. All the waiters have been kind and helpful, easily switching between Italian and English depending on everyone's preference. Sometimes a friendly cat passes by the tables to greet the newcomers.

We took little bus to Anacapri from Capri for the afternoon and just literally stumbled upon this hidden gem after walking a little away from where the bus dropped us off. We had not done any research for restaurants. When we saw the entrance, the menu looked amazing! We are Italian, but live in Texas and haven't had food this authentic and delicious since .....well, I can't remember. Everything is delicious,however; we highly recommend the homemade pasta items on menu! We ordered the mussels and clams dish, and the homemade pasta with eggplant, tomatoes, and mozzarella. Oh, yes, and a bottle of rose, too. The entrance and walk through the little path into the restaurant is very cool, also. It's like a little escape.......lots of locals there for lunch with us, too!

Another hidden gem the locals enjoy based on a recommendation and it didn't disappoint. After a short walk down a side path you are greated by friendly staff who are working at a feverish pace pushing out amazing food in a timely manner. We had the octopus Spaghetti and Spaghetti Nerano and both were delicious. We finished with homemade pistachio and lemon cake which were savory and didn't last long on the plate.

This restaurant in Anacapri was such a beautiful treat! First of all that whole lemony lemon ambiance just heavenly. It was located on one of those cliffs , so airy and breezy… we were seated promptly outside. We got some house bread with olive oil and then we got wine . Since we were a big group with vegetarians and kids we ordered a bunch of things. The margarita pizza was amazing and so was the spaghetti on tomato sauce. We also took one with meatballs.I remember I got a cod fish in a lemon sauce which was just out of this world. We were a bit rushed as the bus was about to come bit I wish we had more time to soak in this beautiful , mesmerizing place…. My husband got the local chicken and it was also great. Highly recommended !!

This is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. Our waitress’s grandmother opened the restaurant many years ago, and it is truly family run. The meatballs were outstanding and the best we had on our trip. Atmosphere was excellent as well. Would 100% recommend. Traveler from NC.
